Taylor Swift made history with her third album of the year win for Folklore at the 63rd annual Grammy Awards on Sunday evening (March 14).
Los Angeles’ Hotel Cafe bartender Candice Fox presented the Big Four honor outside of the Staples Center. Swift and her Folklore collaborators, The National‘s Aaron Dessner and Jack Antonoff, accompanied Swift on stage to accept the award. Dessner started off the acceptance speeches by thanking his family and musing over “standing up here with one of the greatest living songwriters who somehow trusted me to collaborate in this crazy time we all lived through.”
“I want to thank all of my collaborators who are on the stage,” Swift said in her acceptance speech. “But mostly, we just want to thank the fans. You guys met us in this imaginary world that we created, and we can’t tell you how honored we are forever by this. Thank you so much, and thank you to the Recording Academy. We will never forget that you did this for us. Thank you so much.”
