Top Four

After floating around the top half of the chart for the last month, George Ezra finally finds himself at the top with his popular release, Anyone For You.

George describes the track as “a patchwork of lyric ideas found in old notebooks and chance moments shared between musicians in the studio.” It’s a joyous and infectious tune, perfect for early plays on a matchday as fans enter their respective grounds.

If you’re a fan of Hearts, Stoke City or Aberdeen, you’re sure to have heard this one getting some air time, putting smiles on the faces of your supporters.

Slap bang in the middle of the 20 is a new entry from the fantastic Foals! ‘2am is the second single released ahead of their forthcoming album ‘Life Is Yours’, set for release this June.

The brand new single finds Foals embracing the exuberant energy and dance-tinged grooves that made ‘My Number’ and ‘In Degrees’ such fan favourites and pushes those traits to their absolute limit. While its euphoria is further amplified by a classic sparkling Foals guitar riff, there is – as the title suggests – the counterpoint of an introspective, late-night melancholy to its lyrics.

Foals receive love from DJs at Liverpool, Bristol City and West Brom, with Liverpool DJ George Sephton stating “I LOVE FOALS”.

Best Of The Rest

At 18th you’ll find a second new entry in the form of ‘Thunder Fever‘, by The Vaccines, the first new material from the group since their last album ‘Back In Love City‘.

The band hope ‘Thunder Fever’ allows some escape. “It comes at a time when the storm clouds finally feel like they’re parting and hopefully it sounds as fun and frenetic as taking shelter from the rain with someone you cant get out of your head.”

Notable Entries

– LOW STEPPA – ‘Your Dreams’
